Stunning St. Helens Refurbishment

On this week’s work blog post, we are bringing to you a Stunning St. Helens Refurbishment. This project took a dated bathroom and transformed it into a Victorian styled masterpiece. We worked with the client throughout the project, ensuring that the little details such as the border tiles are all correct. Something that we love doing, as it is the little details that go the longest way.

Comparison and Testimonial

Big thank you to the team at Stunning Bathrooms for the amazing transformation! A highly professional team who worked extremely hard to deliver the whole transformation in 5 days. The quality of work is extremely high and would recommend them to anyone. Special thanks to Jack, Rob, and Kirk for their work and attention to detail. – Gareth Attwood

The Project

Once our team had gone over the weeks plan with our client our work could begin. Firstly, protective layers are put down on all floor in the working area. Not only this, but on any hand contact areas such as the banisters and window sills around the room.

Prior to stripping the walls, we knew that the entire room was going to have to be boarded. This is a necessity when dealing with small format tiles such as metro tiles. They need to be placed on a perfectly flat surface to ensure a seamless grout line from tile to tile.

A new soil stack was installed for this project. We feel that it is an injustice to the finish and the job if old fixtures and fittings are used when they can be upgraded to modern technology.

The finished project really speaks for itself. A dark anthracite kerakoll grout was used. This is to contrast with the white metro tiles. And, to also blend the upper and lower black tiles borders.

Finally, our team plastered the half wall and ceiling. Then, prepared the surfaces and room ready to be pained by the client. Unfortunately we currently do not have any photos with the painted walls. But, a lovely matching grey was used to match the amazing combination vanity unit.

All in all, a truly Stunning St. Helens Refurbishment. We’re very happy with how this project turned out. Especially working with more challenging colors such as black silicone. Nevertheless, nothing our expert teams cant handle.

Finishing off

Something we commonly get from customers is ‘Monday jitters’ before the start of the project. This is completely understandable, it’s a large investment and ultimately work is being done to one of the most important rooms to any home. On the last day, when we are packing and cleaning up, hearing that those jitters have been completely undone and seeing the happiness and excitement on our client’s face is something we really do love to see. This pride in any and all work completed is something that sets our team of fitters apart from the rest.
