Welcome back to another stunning project brought to life by our team of expert fitters. This week, we are bringing you a recently finished project that left us with a great sense of satisfaction. A project that left our amazing clients speechless. We only had a limited amount of space to work with but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t bring that wow factor upon completion. Read our elegant Ellesmere Port work blog post below and see for yourself.
The key features are the Aqualisa shower and the fabulous tiles provided by the lovely people down at Mazzanna Tiles. The Aqualisa shower is quickly becoming a more and more popular option. If you are on a gravity-fed system but want a powerful shower, it is a no-brainer. Here at Stunning Bathrooms, our aim is to bring high-quality service and products with unbeatable value.
Comparison and Testimonial
We have just had our new bathroom fitted last week by Stunning Bathrooms and we are absolutely blown away with it! It has gone from being the worst room in the house to by far the best and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Rodger and his team took care of absolutely everything, from the planning & design stage, ordering fixtures and fittings, and installation. Nothing was too much trouble. All we had to do was choose which tiles we wanted. Jack and Rob completed all the work, overseen by Kirk. What a fabulous team they were! I can honestly say we have never met such hard-working people. They arrived promptly each morning and barely stopped all day. We were consulted regularly throughout and were kept fully updated with the progress. The attention to detail was second to none, and the finish is spectacular, beyond what we even thought possible. The whole project was completed in 5 days, and they cleaned and tidied up everywhere at the end.
So if you are looking for a top-quality bathroom with a stunning finish, then look no further. You will not regret your decision. We can’t thank the team enough for their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to enjoying our dream bathroom for many years to come.Sally & Simon Nesbitt
The Project – Before
As with each and every project, the original bathroom is completely torn out. We removed everything from every project, sometimes even original plasterboards if needed, exposing the bare brick and walls. This allows us to bury all feed and waste pipes and assess the strength of the room. Not only this but all plumbing and electrical fittings are replaced. New cabling, new pipework, and where necessary new stud work all comes as standard. We never tile on anything that hasn’t been checked or reinforced. This is down to the simple fact that the finished product will only be as good as the preparation.
Once all the first fix joinery, plumbing, and electrical work are complete, tiling can begin. We tile on moisture-resistant plasterboards that are coated with a membrane. This membrane creates a waterproof barrier and helps bond the tile and adhesive to the board.
The Project – After
On all of our projects, we use a wedge and spacer leveling system. This is used to eliminate lippage between tiles and create a perfect grout line. This is then filled with Kerakoll grout, one of the best on the market. When completed, every corner is sealed using a silicone sealant to match the grout. Each layer adding more and more protection against water.
Second fix plumbing and electrical work are complete, and the room is put together piece by piece. A high-speed silent extractor fan is fitted to each project as standard and is isolated by a separate switch located outside the room. Just one of the many things we do that complies with all the latest regulations and standards.
The final result shows a truly amazing turnaround from a dated room in need of some TLC to a stunning bathroom. We are delighted with how this project turned out and nothing speaks louder than those said by our clients about our team. To Sally and Simon, enjoy. The pleasure has been all ours.
We believe that every project should be treated as if it was our own home. Ensuring that every little detail is as good as it can be and cutting no corners. Cleaning up every evening and ensuring that mess is kept to a minimum where possible. This elegant Ellesmere Port project was no different.
