Charming Liverpool Makeover

This week we are back with two charming Liverpool bathroom makeover projects in the Calderstones and Stockbridge Village areas. The Calderstones project was a modern bathroom design with the centre piece being a beautiful freestanding bath. The Stockbridge Village project was a Victorian contemporary or a contemporary Victorian design; we will let you decide which was around you think. Regardless, another stunning example of what can be achieved in by both projects.

Calderstones – The Project

A truly remarkable turn around considering that this project took less than one week from start to finish. A full rip out followed by extensive and thorough structural evaluation prior to the tanking of the shower area. This, provides peace of mind knowing that the bathroom has been done correctly and not just thrown together.

Once this was complete, our team of expert tilers used a spacer and wedge system to create perfectly level and flush tiles with seamless joints and equal line. These are the little things that need to be done right as any imperfections will stick out like a sore thumb. Once the tiles were installed, supplied by Mazzanna Tiles, the install of the suite could begin.

The fruits of our labour is a truly stunning bathroom. Accentuated by mood lighting within the recess and vanity lights, so those long soaks become that extra bit special. We were over the moon with how this one turned out but couldn’t have been made any happier after seeing our customers face at the end of the project.

Stockbridge Village – The Project

This project was a really hard labour of love. We removed the archway that separated that toilet to the rest of the bathroom. The vanity unit was moved to provide more space in the main area of the room for the walk in shower. The room was reconstructed with stud work around the soil stack and the majority of the room boarded with moisture resistant plasterboard.

The room was tiled from wall to ceiling with white 20 by 10 cm metro tiles that, although was very time consuming, produced unreal results. Finished with kerakoll silver grey grout to make the pop and to match in with the beautiful floor tiles.

The black finish basin tap, shower mixer and anthracite radiator really stand out against the white back drop of the walls. The room is so much bigger and lighter thanks to the work done by our expert fitters.
