This week brings us another amazing transformation for Mr and Mrs Francis in the Childwall area of Liverpool. We were asked update and modernise their main bathroom and turn it into a truly stunning bathroom. The results speak for themselves and the work we completed resulted in our customers asking us to come back and transform their en suite!
The transformation as always began with a complete rip out of the old suite, tiles, wall & floor boards as well as cable and any unnecessary piping. From here the strength and integrity of the room is checked. This project required the joists to be strengthened as there was significant lateral and vertical movement. This was done by cutting wooden braces and installing them at a number of different positions. This made the floor structure better than original, stopping any movement in the bathroom and allowing us to carry on with the rest of the preparation & installation.
After this, the tiling could begin, as laying tiles on any surface that has not been properly prepared is massive no-no. Something that we pride ourselves on is the ability to guarantee longevity in the work that we complete, something that only comes by preparing everything to the highest possible standard.
Our tiling perfection system is used for each and every tile that is laid in any of our projects, ensuring a lipless transition between tiles and a constant seamless 2 mm grout line. The tiles chosen in this room bring light to the room as well making the room seem bigger that its true size. As a general rule of thumb is, the larger the tile, the larger the room will appear to be, so bare this in mind when trying to decide what tiles would suit your bathroom the most.
Once the tiles were set and grouting complete, the suite was then installed. This project featured a 1000 x 700 shower tray with a matching sliding door glass enclosure to open the room up. A chrome square shower mixer was installed along with a matching square basin tap. To finish, an 1800 x 450 chrome towel rail and 1000 x 700 infrared switch, L.E.D mirror was installed on top of the customer chosen vanity unit.
We couldn’t be happier with how the finished piece came together and seeing the look on the customers faces gives us a sense of pride in our work like no other.
